How to Make a Website
Website making involves the following major steps. These steps are required for constructing a good and effective website. The work involved in the construction of website goes on increasing along with the complexity of the site, i.e its design and functionality.

a.Registering a New Domain
These can be bought from many company's called registrar's. Which are accredited by "Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers [ICANN]"
b.Opting for a Subdomain
This is the case with Personal sites who need online presence free of cost.
But for Professional or business Site it is better to have a Domain Name registered for YourSelf or Your Company as it gives the brand name.
Note: Subdomain's are also Used by Companies to divide the task. For Example "mail.yahoo.com" , "news.google.com" etc.

3.Create Your Web Pages:Simply done in three steps

- Text for each Web page.
- Tools to use(get them before hand).
Design includes
- Website layout.
- Text color,Link color,Visited link color.
- Background color.
- Images to be used.

- Use a text editor and write HTML code.
4.Publish:
Double Check Everything. After you have created .html (.htm) files for each of your pages. Check internal Navigation, or any Errors & rectify them, then Upload Files. You need to obtain your username, FTP address and password from your hosting service. Upload files from file manager in your web hosting control panel or Use FTP software(like smartFTP which is free) to transfer files to Server.

- Ask your friends, relatives, and colleagues to test your site.

- Write Meta data for each of your web pages.
- Maintain your promotion data in a text file.
- Select your search engines and directories. Add your URL.
- Add an e-mail signature file.
- Promote your Website off-line.

Maintenance is the regular checkup and updation of the site.

- See it's ranking in Search engines.
- Update your content regularly.
- Learn and implement new things close to your website.
